Billing
Water bills are mailed out around the 1st of the month. Bills not paid by the 15th of the month will receive a late charge. Normally the last day to pay a bill is on the 25th of the month and meters are locked the next day, the meter lock day is printed on your bill.Any customer that does not pay the bill by disconnect date will be disconnected. Once a disconnect list is compiled and turned over to the Rusk Rural WSC service crew that do disconnects, the account will be considered diconnected whether or not service has been disconnected yet. Customers will be charged a $100.00 administration fee to get their service turned back on upon payment of the past due bill and adminstration fee. This fee needs to be paid by 4:00 pm on any normal business day to have service restored that same day, if not it will be the next business day.
Water Rates
5/8-3/4 Meter- $40.00 monthly minimum $7.00/1000 gallons
1" Meter-$80.00 monhtly minimum $7.00/1000 gallons
1 1/2" Meter- $100.00 monthly minimum $7.00/1000 gallons
2" Meter- $160.00 monthly minimum $8.00/1000 gallons
New Water Meter Installation Cost
New water meter service: $3,000.00 for installation, when the main line is on the same side of the road where service is requested. If line is on opposite side of the road, a road bore will be necessary and additional charges will apply. Contact our office for details.
